This is the privacy notice for AmySellsDFW.com. I am Amy Jacobs, REALTOR®, with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices PenFed Realty Texas. This page explains what the site collects, who receives it, and the choices you have.

What this site collects

I collect the information you choose to give me. When you fill out the contact form or request a guide, I receive your name, your email address and the message you write. I save your phone number only if you check the box to receive text messages.

If you check that box, I also save the date and the full wording of what it said. This is the record of what you agreed to, and it exists to protect you.

If an ad brought you here, I save the campaign tags from that ad and the ad platform's own click code. Those describe the ad, not you. From the site you came from, I save only the site's name, such as "facebook.com," and never the full page address, because a full address can contain what someone searched for.

Like every website, this one also receives basic technical information automatically, such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you open.

Who receives it

Your information does not stay only with me. These companies handle it on my behalf:

  • GoHighLevel (my contact system, called Skills CRM). This is where your message arrives and where your name, contact details, the page you came from, tags and the history of your messages are kept so I can reply and follow up.
  • Vercel. Vercel hosts this website. Like any internet server, it handles the technical requests that load a page and keeps technical logs of visits.
  • Mapbox. The neighborhood and community maps are drawn by Mapbox. When a map loads, Mapbox receives your IP address and the map requests needed to display it.
  • Calendly. If you book a free 15-minute call, Calendly collects what you enter when you schedule, under its own privacy policy.

These companies work on my behalf and under their own terms. I do not sell your information, I do not trade it, and I do not share it with other agents.

Today I do not use any analytics or advertising tools on this site. If I ever do, this page will be updated first and will say who it is and what it receives.

A chat bubble appears on some pages. For anything personal, please use the contact form instead. If I ever connect the chat to an outside AI service, this page will be updated before I do.

What I use it for

To reply to you, to schedule a consultation, and to follow up on what you asked me about buying, selling or relocating. I also use it to keep ordinary business records, to protect the site from misuse, and to meet legal and brokerage obligations.

I may write to you later to see how you are doing or to send you something useful. If you would rather I did not, tell me and I will stop.

When you ask me to, I may share what is needed with the professionals involved in your transaction or move, such as lenders, title companies, inspectors, insurance providers, attorneys or relocation providers.

There is one more thing this site does that almost no site does: if you enter your phone number but do not check the text message box, your number does not go into my contact system. It stays out, on purpose, so no one can send you a message you did not authorize.

Calls and text messages

Your phone number is used to send you text messages only if you checked that box. If you did not check it, you do not receive texts from me.

Message and data rates from your phone carrier may apply, and message frequency varies. To stop receiving texts, reply STOP to any message from me and it stops immediately. Reply HELP for help. You can also write to me or call me and I will do it for you.

Entering your phone number in the form is not the same as agreeing to receive texts. They are treated as two separate things. Agreeing to texts is never a condition of working with me.

You can unsubscribe from marketing email using the link in the email or by contacting me.

Your browser

This site saves one thing on your own computer or phone, not on any server: whether you chose light or dark mode. It is erased when you clear your browser data and it never reaches me. This site does not use advertising or analytics cookies.

Your choices

You can ask me for any of these things, whenever you want and without explaining why:

  • To tell you what information of yours I have.
  • To correct something that is wrong.
  • To delete your information. I will delete it, except what the law, my brokerage or a transaction record requires me to keep.
  • To stop writing to you.

Write to me or call me using the information below. There is no form and no paperwork.

How long I keep information

I keep information as long as it is reasonably needed to respond to you, provide services, keep business records, meet brokerage, legal or regulatory requirements, and resolve disputes. Information that is no longer needed may be deleted or anonymized.

Security

I use reasonable administrative, technical and organizational measures to protect information. No website or electronic system can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Please do not send Social Security numbers, banking credentials, passwords, passport details or medical information through ordinary website forms or the chat unless I have directed you to a secure method.

This site is for adults seeking real estate information and services. I do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Any commercial site that collects personal information from California residents must publish a privacy notice, and I follow that practice for every visitor. This is not legal advice.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you sell my information?

No. I do not sell it, I do not trade it, and I do not share it with other agents. It is used to reply to you and to follow up on your question about buying, selling or relocating.

Will I get text messages if I enter my phone number?
